Kernighan's District 2: 21 Fewer Assaults After Occupy

Despite the words of support for the "true 99%"on her City Council web page, Pat Kernighan 'marched down to the encampment chanting "Occupy Oakland must go!"' as part of the recent Oakland Chamber of Commerce inspired Two Minute Hate against Occupy Oakland.  Because in Oakland approval from the Chamber of Commerce always trumps Democracy.

Here are some crime stats for Kernighan's City Council district showing the impact of Occupy Oakland on the crime rate in her district.  Again, reported crimes fell in Kernighan's district after the camp went up.

Shop, eat out, run a business, be murdered

SF Gate Reports that...

[C]ity leaders worry that something larger is at stake: Oakland's image as a place to shop, eat out or run a business.
Are Oakland's city leaders afraid that Occupy will make people forget the whole "one murder every three days" thing and go to San Francisco for their murder?

Murder: Business As Usual In Oakland

There have been 101 murders in Oakland this year.  That averages to about one murder every three days. The histrionics of Mayor Quan, the City Council and Deputy Poice Chief Andi Higbee
"Our responsibility is to keep the public safe. When there is a discharge of a firearm in a public place like this it's good cause to be concerned, greatly concerned,"
are hollow play acting.  The discharge of a firearm in Oakland isn't cause to be concerned, at least not for city government, it's business as usual.
